Easy Crab Muffin Appetizers

These crab muffin appetizers are the perfect addition for a dinner party or just a quick snack. Left whole they make a great lunch. Make them ahead and keep in the freezer to make anytime. They only take about 5 minutes in the oven.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 0z canned crab meat
  • 5 oz kraft old english cheese
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/4 cup onion finely chopped
  • 5 english muffins fork split
  • paprika for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Split your english muffins using a fork and place on a cookie sheet. Cream softened butter and old english cheese together. Combine crabmeat and chopped onion with the creamed mixture. Spread on the english muffin 1/2's. Sprinkle with paprika. Place in freezer for about an hour until they are frozen. Cut each muffin into 4 wedges. You can either freeze them in gallon bags for future use at this point or bake in the a 400 ℉ oven for about 5 minutes until they are bubbly. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
