Ingredients
  

  • 1 40 0z cut green beans drained
  • 6 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup minced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup 1/2 & 1/2
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 strips bacon cooked & crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup French's fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent, then stir in garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in chicken broth and half & half until smooth and thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, combine green beans, mushrooms, bacon, and cheese. Pour the sauce over top and mix until evenly coated.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle fried onions evenly across the top.
  • Bake 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
