Instructions

  • Heat-Treat the Cake Mix – see note below for instructions
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the cooled cake mix and mix until fully combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  • Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, roll the mixture into bite-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • If making cake pops, insert a lollipop stick into each truffle before dipping.
  • You can melt the candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler by placing a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water and stirring until melted.
  • Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each truffle (or cake pop) into the melted candy and let the excess drip off. Place back on the parchment paper.
  • Decorate! Before the candy coating hardens, immediately sprinkle with festive sprinkles.
  • Allow the truffles or cake pops to set at room temperature before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
