My mother made this every Christmas Eve they are a family favorite. I make them and freeze them in gallon bags or airtight containers, then you can pull as many as you want out and bake them for about 5 minutes. Talk about a quick and easy appetizer! These easy crab muffin appetizers are perfect for entertaining because you can make them ahead and bake only a few minutes in the oven.

After you spread the cheese mixture onto each, cut the crab melts into 4 wedges. Which makes for the perfect bite size. Then freeze them on a cookie sheet and after they are frozen toss them in a gallon freezer bag or airtight container. Leave them whole, and 2 muffins make the perfect lunch or brunch dish!

Ingredients For Crab Muffins:

kraft old english cheese spread: I do recommend this cheese; I have tried many other jarred cheese and the results are just not the same for the crab muffin appetizers

Place in freezer for about an hour until they are frozen. Cut each muffin into 4 wedges. I always cut them after they are frozen because it gives a cleaner cut. You can either freeze them in gallon bags for future use at this point or bake in the oven about 5 minutes or until they are golden brown and bubbly. They are great hot or served at room temperature. These make a great item to have in the freezer for unexpected guests!
