- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz mushrooms sliced any type
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- green onions for garnish if desired
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground chuck until it's cooked through.
Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the beef, letting them cook until the onions are translucent.
Sprinkle the flour over the mixture, stirring continuously. Cook several minutes.
Pour in the beef broth gradually, stirring to avoid lumps. Simmer over medium heat until it thickens.
Add worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Slowly pour the cream stirring constantly. Add mushrooms and simmer 10 minutes.
Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or a hearty slice of bread
