Hamburg Noodle Casserole
I’m excited to share one of my all-time favorite comfort food recipes: Hamburg Noodle Casserole. This dish is a total lifesaver on busy weeknights and is a big hit with my family. It’s got everything you need for a hearty meal: savory ground beef, sautéed onions, your choice of noodles (I usually go for bow tie pasta or egg noodles, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand), and a creamy base made from cream of celery soup. Plus, it’s packed with peas and topped with crispy bread crumbs for that perfect crunch. Trust me, this casserole is cozy, easy to make, and absolutely delicious!

Variations
This super-flexible hamburger casserole recipe makes it a breeze to mix things up to suit your tastes and dietary needs. Instead of frozen peas, you can toss in some chopped broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, or kale for an extra boost of nutrition and fiber. And when it comes to cheese, feel free to play around with different kinds like cheddar, mozzarella, Swiss, or pepper jack to give your casserole a whole new flavor.
You can even swap out the noodles in this hamburg noodle casserole for whole wheat, gluten-free, or veggie-based options to add some color and extra nutrients. If you feel like changing things up, try using ground turkey, chicken, or pork instead of beef. And don’t forget, you can switch out the cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup for other creamy soups to keep things interesting. With so many possibilities, this easy-to-make casserole is perfect for anyone looking for a quick, easy dinner with ingredients you probably have in your pantry!
Tips for Success
To make this hamburg noodle casserole recipe even easier, you can cook the ground beef ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator or freezer until you’re ready to make the casserole. Double the recipe and freeze the leftovers for another meal or for a quick lunch or snack. Freeze in individual containers for a grab ‘n go lunch for work!
