Tips for Best Flavor

Shred your own mozzarella for better melting and flavor—pre-shredded has added starches that affect texture.

Use fresh-squeezed lemon juice for a brighter, fresher finish.

Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 450°F or set your grill to medium heat. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven or grill while preheating to ensure a crisp crust.

Step 2:
Brush the pizza crust with Caesar dressing. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly across the top.

Step 3:
Toss grilled chicken in a few tablespoons of Caesar dressing. Slice it thin and scatter it over the mozzarella.

Step 4:
Slide your pizza into the oven or onto the hot grill. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden and bubbling.

Step 5:
Meanwhile, toss your chopped lettuce with lemon juice and a little extra Caesar dressing.

My Best Tips

One thing I’ve learned is not to put the lettuce on before baking. It may seem obvious, but the crisp salad is what makes this pizza so special.

Easy Variations

One of my favorite things about Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza is how easy it is to customize.

What to Serve with Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza

Since this pizza already has a fresh salad on top, I like keeping the rest of dinner simple.

How to Store Leftovers

If you happen to have leftovers, store the pizza and the Caesar salad separately whenever possible. Keeping the lettuce off the pizza helps it stay crisp instead of wilting.

I don’t recommend freezing this recipe once the salad has been added. However, you can freeze the baked pizza (without the lettuce) for up to 2 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use rotisserie chicken?

Absolutely! Rotisserie chicken makes this Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza even quicker to put together. Simply shred or slice the chicken and add it before baking.

Can I use store-bought pizza dough?

Yes! Homemade pizza dough is wonderful, but a store-bought crust, par-baked crust, or even naan bread all work beautifully.

What lettuce is best?

I prefer crisp romaine because it holds up well against the warm pizza. Iceberg lettuce also adds a nice crunch.

Can I make this ahead of time?

Yes. Bake the pizza ahead of time, then prepare the Caesar salad just before serving so everything stays fresh and crisp.
